Turnitin Error

My students cannot submit their APA 7th edition paper because of a Turnitin Error. It states "Sorry, we could not process your request. Turnitin assignment could not be created. Date_post - post date must be after start date."

I'm not sure as to what it's requiring since the date post is after the start date. The start date was August 18, 2025, and the assignment deadline is October 18, 2025.

Hi @tlee1 the post date the error is referring to is the feedback release date in the Turnitin settings. To fix this, you will need to click on the assignment > click 'Edit Assignment Settings' on the upper right > remove all dates and save the assignment. After this, you will see the Turnitin assignment page. Go to the Turnitin settings on the Turnitin assignment page. Find the 'Feedback Release' date and change it to either the due date or a date after the due date. Save the setting. Go back to 'Edit Assignment Settings' to re-enter the dates on the Canvas side of the assignment. The 'Feedback Release' date is the date when any comments/grades you entered using the Turnitin grading tools will become visible to the students.
