Would it be possible to allow use of the return key to accept revised names of new quizzes after renaming them?
Solved! Go to Solution.
That's a great suggestion, @jbraverm, especially because that is inconsistent with other Canvas tools like Discussion, though that is not an option for Content Pages. This is not the case for New Quizzes, where changes in the quiz name can be applied with the return key. (Since you didn't capitalize "new quizzes" I assume you were writing about Classic Quizzes.) Unfortunately, this is not something that Instructure will change via the Idea process as they are dedicating all development work to New Quizzes and no longer will apply changes to Classic Quizzes.
I’m going to mark this reply as a solution. I realize it does not solve your problem, but it will help our colleagues who have a similar question.

I was talking about New Quizzes. Was I mistaken with my observation?
I wonder if what you noticed is that changing the title of a New Quiz on the Edit page *does not change* the title on the Build page. If so, that's a bug to me and worth reporting to the Canvas help desk.
No it was one of those buttons that did not accept a return-key stroke to activate it, as I said. I had to use the mouse. Did you try it and find out it does work for you?
Here's a silent video of what I wrote about. I did have to use the mouse to select the title field, but in both Edit view and Build view all that was required to accept the new name was the return key.
