Verification that you are about to submit a quiz or exam, UI change

I was working on a quiz and it was quite long. The next question button and the submit quiz button look very similar. They are also right next to each other. The quiz didn't prompt me to say that I finished all the questions and accidentally clicked the submit button instead of the next question button, before I was done with the quiz. The quiz had no time-deadline, so the issue was not that I didn't use my time wisely.

Would you consider creating a verification question asking students if they are finished with their quiz/exam before submitting? Would you also consider changing the UI of the submit button and next question button so that they are not so close together, and visually look different?

I had exactly the same experience yesterday, although my quiz was timed with remaining time on the clock to go back to revise answers. Given the "next" button is the same color, size, and location as the "submit quiz" button with nothing to prompt me it was my last question I accidently hit submit when I was trying to still advance through questions then use remaining time to circle back to those I wanted to do a deeper dive on as it was an open book/open note quiz. It seems making the "submit quiz" box a different color or having to verify that indeed you are meaning to submit your work would prevent this error from happening to other students.
