Since yesterday afternoon, the platform has been slow to load. It currently loads correctly, but constantly displays a 403 Forbidden error.
My students are also experiencing the same error and are unable to submit assignments.

Yesterday, Canvas did experience some slow load times for some users. You can look at their official status page, and you'll see their notes from November 7th on that page. Also, at the very top of this page, there is a link to view the uptime of your own Canvas environment.
Have you tried accessing Canvas with a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome? I've also had good success with the Microsoft Edge browser. Have you tried clearing your browser history/cache files? After you do that, close your browser completely, then log back in to Canvas.

Yes, I tried it with several browsers and even different computers this afternoon, but it didn't work on any of them.
My students also had the same problem; they kept messaging me about it. Since it was intermittent, I just asked them to keep trying so they could submit their assignments.
It seems to be working much better today.
