Who can create new courses if there are mixed roles

In the following screenshot below (taken from the article How do I set details for an account? > View Who Can Create New Courses), if one user is enrolled as a teacher in one course and a student in another, which setting takes priority? Will it be a teacher or a student? Please clarify.

NOTE

Dropping a self-registration class from Canvas won't remove your registration completely; it only moves it to Past Enrollments.

View Who Can Create New Courses

Admins and teachers can create new courses here, but what if that teacher is also a student in another course? This needs to be clarified.

(A) TEACHERS

Users with existing teacher roles can create new courses.

(B) USERS WITH NO ENROLLMENTS

New users to Canvas.

(C) STUDENTS

Students can create courses.

IF NO BOXES ARE CHECKED...

Only admins can create new courses.

IF ONLY BOX A IS CHECKED...

Course creation isn't allowed unless you are enrolled as a teacher in at least one course.

IF ONLY BOX B IS CHECKED...

Only new users can create courses. Only one course can be created by the user.

IF ONLY BOX C IS CHECKED...

Only students can create courses. This can be useful if you want to introduce your students to the Canvas platform before it's their turn to teach.

IF BOXES A AND B ARE CHECKED...

Only new users and users with teacher roles can create new courses.

IF BOXES A AND C ARE CHECKED...

Only users with teacher or student roles can create new courses. New users are not allowed to create new courses.

IF BOXES B AND C ARE CHECKED...

Only new users and users with student roles can create new courses.

IF ALL BOXES ARE CHECKED...

All users can create new courses.
