Why Dont Resubmitted Google Assignments Show Up In The Gradebook?

I've had students telling me they have resubmitted assignments but when I check the grade book, nothing new is there. I finally went into speed grader and checked, and there it was. The color wasn't different (green like a new submission) or anything. These resubmitted assignments aren't flagging in the grade book as normal assignments do and they are going without being seen! How would we know if a student resubmitted something?

I believe this is a limitation of the LTI. I know it's an inconvenience as an instructor, for sure.
