Won't let me save updated changes on lesson plans due to 'lock date'

When I revise my lesson plans and hit 'save' there is a reply that says "Lock date cannot be after course ends." But I've checked this and even re-entered dates that are before the last day of the course and no matter what date I put I get the same response and it won't save my edits. Thanks for your help!

Can you please provide a screenshot of the dates in the "Settings" area of the course?

Can you please provide a screenshot of the item that you are editing and its dates area?

Hi @GEORGEGOGGANS, have you tired switching the "Participation" option on the Settings page from "Term" to "Course"? That should allow you to reset the start and end dates for the course, then save your changes. But you should return the dates to their original settings after you have saved your new content. 

Another option is to copy the course content to a new Canvas shell, so that you can edit the content. Your Admin should be able to set up a new shell for you; if the shell for the next term is not yet available, they may be able to create a master shell, a blueprint shell, or even a sandbox for you.
