Canvas users with TEACHER access can add users to a course. This guide provides all the details. 🙂 

How do I add users to a course? 

Teachers can also provide students with self-enrollment codes or links, which allow students to create canvas accounts if needed.  How do I enable self-enrollment in an account and

Also keep in mind that some schools add students automatically via their SIS (Student Information System).  So, this means there is no manual enrolling of students one by one...as enrollments can be sent via SIS import.  You'd want to probably talk with your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department about the best way to get students enrolled in your course(s).
