can't edit question banks

When I go to quizzes and click to manage question banks, my bookmarked question banks are there, but the edit pencil does not show up on any of them. Does anyone know how to edit those banks?

I just had an instructor ask the exact question. As far as I can tell, if the bookmarked question bank is in a course that is concluded (or past its end date), then you won't be able to edit it. My suggested solution was to import the question bank from the original course.

Hi - I am having this same problem. I imported the question bank but I still do not have the pencil to edit the items.

Any other ideas - it's like my permissions were somehow revoked for all my question banks
