How do I close a teacher created course? It is no longer an active organization.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Do you have access to it? On the Settings page, under Course Status (to the right) you should see the option to "Conclude Course". You can also "Delete Course" but this removes it entirely.
Hi @KRISTINAHARPER,
Your options will vary depending on the settings at your institution.
If you have the ability to, you can use the "Conclude this Course" option (as documented at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-conclude-a-course-at-the-end-of-a-term-...).
If you do not have that option, you either (a) do not need to do anything because it will close automatically to your students when the end date has happened or (b) your institution's Canvas team will do it for you.
Does that help you?
