how many students can be assigned to one observer?

Good day,

We have received an error when trying to assign 200 students to an observer.  All of the documentation I find says that you can assign from 1 to many.

Is there a known limit to the number of students per observer?

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from you. We hope you are doing well and that you’ve found an answer to your question!

Personally, I would report the issue to Canvas Support to get their input.  You may have found an undocumented limitation here.  It's possible that the limit was unintentional, at which point they may create a ticket for engineers to adjust the code.  If the limit was intended, the limit info can hopefully be added to the guide pages.
