how do i go about accessing my assignments, please help me out.

I am assuming that you are a student.  Ultimately, you'd want to talk with your instructor/teacher about where to access your assignments in your course...as we here in the Canvas Community do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s) in question.  That being said, we can provide you with some resources that will give you a general overview about how assignments work within Canvas.  The best place to start, in my opinion, is with a couple of these short video tutorials:
