missing comments in speedgrader

Hey there,
I started grading an exam using speedgrader the other day. I added comments to specific responses and hit update score after each addition. When I came back the next day to complete the grading, the previously saved comments were missing. I have my grade posting policy set to manual so I can take my time grading without the students seeing feedback too soon. Would this affect my ability to view the comments that I saved? I was hoping i could grade a few at a time and trust those grades to remain intact. Am I missing something?

@KimCanup For comments, you need to hit the "Submit" button for them to save and attach to the assignment. Update Score only updates the score and not any corresponding comments. I recently just read a feature request for a warning about this as it is a gotcha.
In answer to your question, your posting policy is not affecting anything, it is not hitting "submit" that is the issue.
