preview shows more questions than in editing mode

I just finished a 40 question quiz. But when I went to the preview mode, it showed 43 questions (which is fine, I want those questions too). Why can't I see the last 3 questions in editing mode but they only appear in preview mode?

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with your quiz. Are you using question banks at all? Sometimes when you link to a question bank there are more questions picked than can be pulled from "This question group is set to pick more questions than are available." which can cause discrepancies in the points and number of questions. You can check this in edit and looking at your groups. Other than that, can you provide any specifications on how you made the quiz, where the questions came from, etc? It would be helpful.
