When using the rubric Comment Library, I noticed (last semester?) that it now removes any blank lines from the library text when applied during grading. I can confirm this worked as intended in prior semesters.
In my mind this renders it a bit worthless, since the text now become a long blob of words with no visible whitespace within it. See screen shot for a very simple example.
Is there any way around this, such as maybe using some HTML tag markup? Is this a known issue logged for resolution? Thanks!

Hi @rlapkass
Thanks for the screenshot -- very helpful!
I haven't used the comment library in a while, so I don't recall if it worked differently than it does now (if you could add returns to create space between lines and if it kept them). I do know that the comment library has no formatting tools or option for HTML -- but once you add the comment to the Speedgrader, you can edit it quite a bit. I actually have code numbers at the front of my comments to help me know for which assignment they are -- so I always have to edit my comments to remove the code, and I always personalize a little more by adding the student's name, or something.
It looks like it has been submitted as an Idea: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/SpeedGrader-Allow-retain-formatting-when-comment-is-...
