students used to be able to delete videos they uploaded, but now they cant

Hi there!

Students used to be able to delete videos they uploaded in Canvas and now it seems (since the platform changed a bit) they are not able to. Is there a way to change it so they can delete?

Hi @AnnetteMiner,

Do you know if you're using a 3rd party video system?  The base Canvas LMS really only supports video storage/recording in the user/course files areas or through the rich content editor.  I don't think either of those has changed significantly recently.  Perhaps you're using something like Canvas Studio (made by Instructure, but a separate product), Kaltura, Mediasite, Panopto, or something else.  If you have any more info, or could share a screenshot of videos in your Canvas instance, it might help community members here be able to provide you with a more specific answer.
