It appears that adding the "submitted by" column in the student grave view may have had the unintended consequence of really squishing the assignment title column, making the page very hard to use for students.  See the following community posts:

Seems to me that that view may need a rethink with all of the info being presented there now.

Hi all,

The good change is that the gradebook now shows the submit date for the assignment in addition to the due date -- previously the individual student gradebook just showed the due date, which was confusing. Now, it is great to see the comparison between the two columns of when the assignment was due according to the pacing plan and when it was submitted. 

The result of this good change in the gradebook is that the added column has further "smooshed" the column that contains the assignment name. This column was already quite small, so assignment names were taking up multiple lines, making each row of the gradebook take up a large part of the screen. 

The request to make the assignment name column wider has come up now from our instructors because the issue was exacerbated by the addition of the new submitted date column.
