ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK—WHERE TO POST IDEA SUGGESTIONS AND SUBMIT BUG REPORTS
- Idea requests for the Product Team to consider should be submitted in ideas.canvaslms.com . This is the best way to ask for additional or alternative functionality than what is included in the release. Linking to the related idea here so others can find it is encouraged!
- Bug reports should be submitted to Canvas Support. This way, cases can be connected and uniform updates can be provided to those involved. Bugs will not be triaged in this thread
I would like more detail about the update:
Accessibility Updates: Enhanced Structural Clarity
This information would allow for the proactive refinement of any customizations we may have developed and applied before the changes impact students and faculty.
The ability to set up multiple areas in a New Quizzes hot spot question is a great update. However, in my testing, I noticed that students are allowed the same amount of selections as there are hot spots, and if they get one wrong, then they don't get any credit for the question (screenshot of student results).
While this may work for some questions, there are others where a single click/selection is all that is needed, and giving students an additional one may lead to confusion or unintended selections that result in getting the question wrong.
It would be helpful if, as part of this update, instructors could define or limit the number of student selections that count for full credit.
I just got a chance to test the multiple hotspot question type, and it crashed on me/wouldn't allow me to save. Is there a limit to how many hotspots can be placed on an image? For reference, I had 24 hotspots.
I had the same problem with 13 questions.
Can we also have a way to name the hotspots? Square/Oval/Polygon Hotspot doesn't provide much differentiation!
