First, I am very excited to learn that Canvas is giving attention to this much needed space in learning management systems. As schools continue to embrace competency-based learning, we need a better way for students to document their learning journey across and through course experiences. There is mention of tagging evidence to competencies, but I am wondering if that different than outcomes? We are trying to use the Learning Mastery Gradebook in Canvas as a means to keep track of student progress through proficiency scales, but it is ROUGH right now. Will there be a way to have school or district level learning targets or competencies imported so we can pull reports and have analytics on where students are in their learning? Can a student see that? For example, can a student see if they have mastered all of their Algebra or Biology competencies?
