Canvas Studio Screen Capture Tool Bar

I am new to Canvas Studio and I am trying to use it for a video presentation for class. I can record but the tool bar only shows up on my home screen. How can I get it to show up while I am in another app? I have a Macbook Air on MacOS Big Sur 11.5.2

When you record the video it is only recording your home screen instead of your active browser/app screen? 

Are you using th screen capture function when this happens? 

I know that with MAC you will sometimes need to adjust the Security and Privacy settings in your Mac's System Preferences to allow screen recording. This usually fixes the issue with it only recording your Mac's default home screen. You should be able to drag the screen capture tool to the screen you are wanting to actually record.
