I was able to do record a screen recording session a week ago. But, today, when trying to start a screen recording session, a window opened informing me that I must download it (perhaps a new version). But, when I attempt to open the file, "InstallScreenRecorderLauncher-2.22.0-JRE14.exe" it gives me the following error. And I cannot proceed to make a screen recording. ( don't know why it shows two copies of the error message, and I can't delete that 2nd one)

It was conflicting with the 2021 version of the installer that was still in my files. I went in and found that one and deleted it. Then redownloaded the new version of the installer and it worked.

I know it's been a while since you've posted this so I wanted to follow up: have you managed to get this working? If not, here are a few possible solutions:
1) Attempt to download the application off of another browser. For example if you're using Chrome, try downloading it off of Edge. Sometimes it magically works.
2) One of the only other things I could think about doing is reaching out to Canvas support directly, and seeing how they are able to support you through this matter. They'd be the best at getting this issue resolved, if it hasn't been yet.

I had an instructor just come to me with the same issue and error message. When I download it on my computer, it is working just fine.

Can you share with me where you found the old version in your files? I'm having this exact problem, but I have not been able to find an old version.
