I have uploaded a video into the Canvas Studio and embedded a few quiz questions in this video. How do I now put this video in one of my courses...with the embedded quiz in it? Thanks!
Please follow the instructions here: 📔 How do I embed a Canvas Studio video quiz in the Canvas Rich Content Editor as an instructor?
The Rich Content Editor is available on Pages, Discussions, or anywhere you can input text in Canvas
If you would like to display the results in the Canvas Gradebook, you can follow this guide: 📔 How do I post Canvas Studio video quiz results in the Canvas Gradebook?
Thanks for the links, Jerry!
I have attempted to follow along, without success. You can see that I have a "Tutorial 1 - HTML" file with an embedded quiz in it in my Library.
When I attempt to load it in to my Page for students to access, I can't find the video anywhere (Image 2). It is not in my Canvas Studio Library.
How do I connect them up?
You will need to click the "Studio" icon, then a popup will appear with all of your studio contents
I have clicked this and the video does not appear in the pop up box. Any ideas on how to get it to appear? I must be missing something.
Hi @TimBateup ...
To confirm, are you clicking on the same icon that @jerry_nguyen shows in his screenshot? Sometimes that icon might not show on the RCE because of what your school's Canvas admin has chosen (or not chosen) to place on the RCE toolbar (they can choose up to two additional icons/tools to put on the RCE toolbar). If you are not seeing that exact icon, click on that plug icon just to the right of the one Jerry has in his screenshot, and then you should have the option for Studio to select from.
Also, if you could post a screenshot or two of what you are seeing on your end, that would be great...thanks!
Yes, clicking the same icon as Jerry mentioned.
When it is clicked, it shows some videos I've uploaded for elsewhere, but not the video with the embedded quiz in it. That's the specific one I'm chasing. It sits in my Library all by itself [1].
The second screenshot [2] shows the files I see when trying to insert my quiz video. The first video is crossed out because that is not the quiz video. That was me attempting to upload the same video in a different way (which didn't work how I wanted it to).
Thanks for sharing those screenshots, @TimBateup. At the top of the window that pops up after you select the "Studio" icon from the RCE, there are the words "My Library" with a downward pointing arrow (the reverse of this character: "^"). Click on that. Do you see your "Web Design Tutorials" collection folder you had created to select from?
Keep us posted...thanks!
Unfortunately I don't see the "Web Design Tutorials" folder. Screenshot attached. None of the available folders have videos in them.
To be honest, I don't even know where those videos are coming from that are appearing. They are my videos, but I can't see them anywhere in my QLearn pages. But that's another issue for me to sort out. We'll just focus on one thing at a time.
@TimBateup ...
My apologies...I was responding with the thought that those collection folders in Studio were within that "My Library" drop-down. I just tested this. When I click on the "Studio" icon on the left-hand global navigation menu, I have a collection folder of YouTube videos for board game tutorials from a channel called "Watch It Played".
Then, when I create a brand new page in my sandbox course, I click on the "Studio" icon (for some reason, my sandbox interface still has the old "Arc" name ... which is what it used to be called before it got renamed to "Studio"). But, as you can see, if I remain on "My Library" and just scroll down a little bit, my "Watch It Played" collection folder is right there. I can click on it to access all the videos within that collection folder.
Out of curiosity, how many videos do you currently have in your collection folder? Even with just one video in the collection folder, it would still look something like this when trying to select it within your content page:
I hope this will help!
I tried to replicate what you have done, but same result.
My video with the quiz is in My Library. I made a new tab for it to go into as well. (Screenshot 1)
When trying to insert it on the page I want it on...through the Canvas Studio option...it doesn't show (Screenshot 2).
I think I might just give up on this. It's a not a user-friendly website at all and very very time consuming to do anything of value.
