I created a 'practice' video in canvas studio. The video is currently 'unassigned" to any module in any of my courses and exists only in "my Library". I have confirmed that I am able to make a video and I even uploaded it to Panopto to verify 'stuff". Anyway, here's the situation: I was successful at deleting the video from the Panopto site, but I cannot delete the video from the studio 'My Library". How do I delete a video from "My library"? I have tried dragging the file to recycle bin, toggling through the stop-light tabs on the video, and every mouse right-click/delete function known to science. Please help!

Hi @CarlosCrocker,
According to the How do I archive and restore media in Canvas Studi... - Instructure Community - 1704 guide:
Unless users are granted the Allow users to permanently delete archived media items permission, only admins can delete archived media permanently.
Do you know if your Canvas Studio admins have given you (and others at your institution) permission to delete media or are you only able to archive media?

HI Doug,
I have posed the delete/archive permission question to the institutional Canvas gurus . . . thanks for the lead 🙂
@CarlosCrocker ...
You mentioned Panopto a couple times in your original question, but that is a video tool different than the Canvas Studio tool available from Instructure (the folks that make Canvas). Panopto is a third-party tool that can integrate with Canvas. To confirm, are you asking about Panopto, or are you asking about Canvas Studio?
If you are asking about Panopto, folks here in the Community probably wouldn't be able to help as much because it's a third-party integration. Here is their Support site: Support Center - Panopto.
I hope this will be of some help to you. Good luck!
