Course start dates/end dates

I apologize if this question has already been answered. I teach at a technical college that’s open entry/open exit where students are assigned course end dates. In the Pace Plan LTI, we had the ability to set end-dates and the LTI would calculate the due dates for the assignments. Additionally, if the student was issued a new course end date, because they did not finish the course on the previous attempt, we could enter a new start date and end date, so the assignment due dates are reflect the new course timeframe.

Can this ability be added to Course Pacing?

We have a similar issue at my school. When teachers add students into a course, it sets their start date in pacing... great. If the student is moved to a different teacher though, the start date changes (some times, not always) to match the date they were added to the new section, and their pacing is now off. We would like to be able to adjust the start date for students if needed.
