Student Manually Adjusts their Start Date

In our program, we will often schedule students in both their first and second-semester classes at the same time. The reason for this is auditing purposes with the state. So students should be able to adjust their start date for their second-semester course, so their due dates adjust based on when they physically start the class. This would also count for students who maybe start an elective class later in the semester.

Love to hear about students having some control over their learning experience! Are their start dates kept in your SIS or some external system and then synced into Canvas? If so, you can explicitly set the student's enrollment start_at date and Course Pacing will honor that, even if you change it.

I'd love to hear more about this use case if you are comfortable expanding.
