Generally, Canvas supports almost all video embeds, at least in my experience.
Are you trying to embed a YouTube video into your course, however when you right-click on the YouTube video there is no option to embed it? If that's the case, then the video owner disabled embeds for that video, as they likely prefer and wish to not have their video embedded on sites, or on platforms such as Canvas LMS, and it can be for different reasons.
That being said, there's not much that we're able to do about this, since the video is coming from YouTube.
However, if you do have the embed code for the video, and you're trying to embed it on Canvas however Canvas is not accepting that video embed code, then either Canvas is denying that code for some specific reason, or the more likely reason why is because the code is invalid for some reason, and it doesn't work. And that there is just the general technology that we all know and love today.
