People and Grades lists can't be alphabetically sorted

The Peoples list page does not provide a button for sorting students in alphabetical order of name or last name.

The Grades list has an option for sorting the list of student in alphabetical order that does not works.  The list is randomly sorted.  

Any suggestion for a fix?

Hello @nestorjosue and welcome to the Instructure Community. The Canvas LMS Mods browser extension can help you with the sort options on the People page that are not native to Canvas. For the alphabetical sort order on the Grades page, check the options for sort that are described on the Canvas Guides page, in particular its section on Display Name Order. It looks like the free-for-teachers instance does not have the option to split the student names.

Very interesting but is any third party app which will support free teacher account to support the sorting of students list.
