Hi, it is end of Spring semester and the last day of class (course end date) was a couple of days ago. We want to target some specific Spring courses for an Impact campaign. The sections are still open for another two weeks due to section end dates, so students can still access the courses.
I can't find any information about whether the target courses in "Assign to Users" for a campaign will include students in courses where the course end date is past. In Canvas, some things respect the section end date and some don't. How does it work in Impact? Are only term and course dates used? Can we have a campaign for students in closed courses at all?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Nancy! The campaign would continue to display for users until your campaign visibility schedule end date.
Through testing, it appears that after the course is closed (using section end date if one is included) students cannot be included in target groups. We are glad that Impact respects section dates!

Thanks @MelissaMcClella, good to know that even though we can't select students in closed courses for a custom group, if the courses were open, once the campaign has started they will continue to see it until the campaign ends.
