In this session, Microsoft will introduce the new Microsoft 365 Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) experience. The new Microsoft 365 LTI app consolidates and enhances the capabilities of multiple individual tools into one convenient solution, creating a more unified and efficient experience within your LMS.
Institutions currently using the Class Teams or Meetings LTIs will need to transition to the new integration once it becomes available.
What do you mean "will need to transition to the new integration once it becomes available". It is available and my understanding is that the old LTI will no longer work on September 15th but there has been no migration plan released by Instructure or Microsoft. We have tested the new LTI but not sure what to do with the "old" LTI for Teams, OneDrive, Notebook, and Classes. As Sept 15 is not here yet, not sure if we leave them for the short-term or they just stop working so no reason to keep them.
very disappointed to have missed this. I typically pay very close attention to everything in the Community including upcoming events, but seems like I missed the memo on this one, probably because classes just started less than 2 weeks ago and it's chaos. Would love to have another chance to meet with Microsoft LTI reps!
You’ll find the link to the recording above. Microsoft hosts LTI Office Hours on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 11 AM EST, where you can connect directly with their LTI Product Team. You can register for those sessions using this link: https://aka.ms/LTIOfficeHours
Thank you! When will the updated slide deck be available? I remember the presenter said he would share as much of the slide deck with us as he could. Having that information to share with our ITS team would be most helpful. Also, did the folks from Microsoft happen to share with your team how they plan on letting people know when their documentation has been updated? Thanks again!
OK so in testing.. I am looking at the instructions, I am wondering as I go through the steps, are the terms Teams and Teams Classes the same? My LMS admin is not looking for Teams Classes?
I did however find the following documentation on the Microsoft website in relation to assignments here. It suggests that the issue could be from a setup configuration (Admin) or a possible subscription based scenario. @JohnCook45 - If you do get feedback from your Microsoft case, be great to share the result.
