Description
This session will showcase how Chesterfield County Public Schools leveraged Canvas to create an innovative, in-house solution for asynchronous credit recovery, reducing costs while expanding opportunities for at-risk seniors. The PACE program, utilizing vetted Virginia Department of Education content, offers two types of recovery courses: one for students repeating a course and one for first-time takers. Key features include Mastery Paths, module prerequisites and requirements, and term check-ins to ensure student engagement and progression. Teachers monitor student progress, offer weekly feedback, and maintain consistent communication with families. Participants will see how CCPS integrated Canvas tools like New Quizzes, with H5P and SCORM to streamline content to improve student outcomes. Discover how PACE can be adapted for your own district, promoting equity and flexibility while enhancing course completion rates.
