Join us as we soar high to take a birds-eye view of how we redesigned our professional development program (Soaring with Online Learning) for flexibility to meet the needs of all university faculty (even those teaching in-person) by offering courses in Canvas Catalog and awarding stacked micro-credentials through learning pathways in Canvas Credentials.
In 2024, Salisbury University embarked on redesigning our Soaring professional development program for individuals designing and delivering online, hybrid and remote (online with synchronous meetings) courses. Prior to the redesign, our Soaring program ran as hybrid for 4-6 consecutive weeks. Now, the program is designed for flexible start and end dates to allow participants to complete the program within a year based on their scheduling needs while also working one-on-one with a designated Instructional Designer.
We are excited to share how Canvas, Catalog and Credentials work together for our program.
