Description

Changes to the Gradebook that affect who would be targeted for the Message Students Who feature in the Total Grade column do not get reflected in the modal without page refresh or re-sorting the gradebook. This primarily affects two situations:

The total grade becoming higher or lower for a student which would normally exclude/include them in messaging.

Gradebooks with a longer render time due to large amount of assignments(hundreds) do not display any massageable students until the column is re-sorted manually.

Expected Behavior

Massageable students should reflect the current gradebook’s total grades
Workaround
-
After grading the assignment if you refresh the page or sort one of the columns that fixes the issue.
Steps to Reproduce

Create a course with at least one assignment and several students
-
On the gradebook page, grade one of the students
-
Use the total grade column’s Message Student’s Who to try to message just the student with the entered grade using the
Total grade higher thanoption and see that it won’t populate them -
Re-sort the column or refresh the page and see that they now populate
Additionally:

Add more students and hundreds of assignments
-
Grade some of them and refresh the page
-
See they remain un-messagable until you re-sort the column
