Unable to switch between cameras in Studio capture/rce media recordings

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 9/22/25.
Description
When a user has multiple camera sources on their device, and when trying to change cameras trough studio capture or RCE upload/record the cameras fail to switch.
The network request fails with status “ERR_BLOCKED_BY_ORB” in some cases, but with or without the error the behavior is present. This may be related to if one of the video device sources is virtual/physical.
Expected Behavior
To be able switch between cameras in studio capture / RCE upload/record without any issues.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Prerequisite: Have a secondary camera plugged in and ready to use to your device.

Navigate to Studio, click on +Create and select Studio Capture

On the select video source option, try to cycle between your two ( or more ) cameras

Notice how the preview does not change

As for the Media record: go to any place which uses RCE and go trough “Insert” - “Media” - “Upload/Record media” and the same steps as above, notice the same behavior.

The update has been released to Studio. However, RCE media capture is still not supported, as it uses an older version of our capture solution.
