Printing Math Assessments

I find that when I create an assessment for Mathematics that I am unable to print it.  I do not have problems with ELA however, that is easy peasy.  Math is a whole different ball game.  I like to print the quizzes first for Math so that students can show their work and don't randomly click an answer.

Hi Monica,

I suspect there may be Technology Enhanced Items (TEI) on the Math assessment(s); if so, the test cannot be printed. Due to the nature of TEIs, such as re-ordering a list of choices by moving them on the screen or graph-plotting, etc., they can only be administered on-line; therefore there is no print functionality.

As Patty mentioned above, assessments were not printable when they contained TEIs. However, Mastery Connect was recently updated so that all assessments are now printable! There are still some question types that aren't suitable for printing, and those will not be on the printout; a message on the printout will alert you to this. Many TEI question types, including math question types, are now printable, including: math formula, formula essay, graph plotting, number line association, number line plot, and simple chart.

One way to find only printable items in item banks is to check the Printable checkbox, available under Other Features in the item filter:
