Hi there, Canvas friends!
In my institution we have been struggling with Moodle questions that do not migrate to Canvas New Quizzes neither Classic Quizzes.
Is there a post or a Canvas guide where I can find the equivalence between Moodle and Canvas questions?
We currently know there are some that do not migrate, however we would love some back up info so we are 100% sure there is no possible migration for those questions.
Cheers!
Lucía
Hello @lsalgueiroa23
I am not super familiar with Moodle, but Canvas will allow for QTI 1.2 and 2.x zip files to be imported and incorporated for Item banks for the New Quizzes engine.
If you can figure out how to export the quiz content from Moodle into an acceptable QTI file, it can possibly be imported and used in Canvas.
Canvas also has an option for importing content from Moodle. I don't know how it handles quiz questions so you might need to experiment with it.

Hi Colton,
That's not the answer I was expecting. We know how to export content from Moodle. The question was about equivalence between Moodle and Canvas questions. Any other thing that might be useful?
Cheers
Lucía
Hi Lucía,
This likely has information specific to my institution but one of our colleges supports Moodle and has created a Knowledgebase article that may be helpful for you: Moodle to Canvas Comparison Chart from ATLAS. About midway down the page, there's a Question Types table. I don't think this directly addresses what is/isn't correctly imported with QTI files or whole course imports but that may confirm some of your observations.
