New quizzes not shoing as participation in Access Report 2024

When using the Access Report for individual students, the submission of a new quiz does not appear as Participation in the report. This was supposed to be added some time ago. Will it be added?

The Access Report for an Individual User is a course permission according to this article. You may need to contact the Canvas Admins at your institution to see if they have enabled this course permission for your user role in Canvas.

Hello MaryAnn,

You may have misunderstood the problem. I am the Canvas administrator, and the access report is enabled. When viewing the report, assignments and discussion replies show when they are submitted. However when a new quiz is started or submitted, it does not appear under the submission column as being submitted.

It might be because New Quizzes are technically a LTI tool vs. a built-in tool like the Classic Quiz interface.  I'm not 100% sure about that, but New Quizzes might not be available in the view you're looking at because Instructure designed it as a LTI external tool.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the response. Your suggestion might be a possible explanation. I have seen nothing in the Canvas literature letting us know that new quizzes will not appear as submission in the Course Access Report. If this is the case, I would hope that Canvas would find a work around.
