Is there a way to go back to the original way of adding audio to quiz questions? (where you import your audio clips and get a simple, small audio bar) The new way gives a large audio box that can be an overwhelming distraction to some students when they are viewing the questions. In addition, the new way is slowing and freezing the students computers so the quiz will not load. The only way around this issue is to set quizzes to pop up one question at a time. Not a game changer to have to use this setting, but the audio box style and size is still distracting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The way to import audio into New Quizzes is now the same experience as the rest of Canvas since the Rich Content Editor update to New Quizzes this past June. If you are experiencing any freezing/issues, we recommend reaching out to Canvas Support as that is not the intended user experience. Reach out to your Canvas Admin for any questions on how to do this per your institution's guidelines.
You could always try an outside too such as Vocaroo | Online voice recorder
Actually that is what I use to do my audio (online voice recorder), but even when I import those in, the audio box is huge and distracting. It used to just show a simple audio bar. It was much easier for my students to focus on the actual question and it didn't cause the students computers to freeze up (I am assuming because of the size of the icon). Thank you for your suggestion, though.
