A teacher wants to be able to view/grade one quiz question at a time for all of her students. Currently, the default view in Canvas only lets you grade one student at a time. Canvas support says this feature is currently unavailable, but I am curious if someone has found a better way of grading a classroom set of quizzes and is able to see the results of the assessment by question instead of by students.

perhaps I misunderstand, but this seems to be a functional feature. try here: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-grade-one-quiz-question-at-a-time-in-Sp...
"Grade by question" is an option in classic quizzes (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-grade-one-quiz-question-at-a-time-in-Sp... ) and New Quizzes ( https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-grade-a-New-Quizzes-quiz-question-one-a... ), but I don't know of an option to display and grade all the students' answers to a particular question at the same time.

I appreciate you sending that. I saw that post. That's not what we are looking for. That allows you to grade one question at a time per student.
We are looking for a way to view the responses for ALL students, one question at a time on the screen. For example, if question #1 was free response, how can we view all students responses on one screen without having to click through each individual student. On a Google quiz, you can just download all of the answers onto a sheet to be able to view them all at once. That functionality would be nice within Canvas quizzes.
This is still an issue in 2025. SpeedGrader only allows you to see one student's answer at a time. We should be able to sort answers and then assign feedback based on grouping answer types. This is a barrier to consistent grading for any short answer question.
