Meet the Team:
The TSP and this blog are proudly presented by the "On Demand" team within Professional Learning Services. Comprising skilled Learning Experience Designers, we curate and oversee the content featured in our Training Services Portal. For those familiar with our Canvas Certified Educator or Canvas Certified Technical Admin programs, you might recognize us as your dedicated course facilitators.
At the core of our team's mission is the creation of exceptional learning experiences and valuable resources. We're passionate about empowering educators from diverse backgrounds to elevate their teaching and learning methodologies using our suite of products.

Brace yourself, this first quarterly update is going to be a DOOZY as we recap everything we’ve accomplished in 2023. Here we go!
We’ve Moved!
This year marked a major milestone as we migrated our portal from our previous platform, Bridge, into a brand new portal hosted in Canvas ( 🎉).
We’ve Grown!
We’re not just Canvas anymore, Toto! Our team has been working hard this past year to bring ALL of our awesome product training offerings under our umbrella.
- Impact Training Course was updated and is now delivered through the Portal for our Canvas LMS customers! This course is included as part of our Impact Implementation package and can be renewed annually. Talk to your Customer Success team to learn more.
- Mastery Connect Online PD has also been updated. The content continues to be available through the Help button in Mastery Connect.
- Studio (Updated) This course is included as part of our Studio Implementation package and can be renewed annually.
- Catalog (Updated) This course is included as part of our Catalog Implementation package and can be renewed annually.
We’ve also expanded our Canvas LMS offerings with two new courses and made some updates to the classics:
- Nontraditional Courses in Canvas (New) Canvas can be used for so much more than just traditional classroom settings. This course will cover a variety of use cases for nontraditional courses in Canvas, particularly in a K12 environment. Use cases will include nontraditional courses that can be used to support students, instructors, and administrators.
- Admin Analytics (New) Canvas Admin Analytics is a feature composed of organized dashboards that give insight into Canvas adoption and engagement within an account. These dashboards are filterable allowing for administrators to find and leverage data in a meaningful way
- New Quizzes (Updated) Learn what New Quizzes are, how to create a New Quiz, how to utilize the new question types, and how to manage New Quizzes
- Setting Up your Instance Pathways (all pathway courses updated) Explore best practices, tips, and considerations for setting up your Canvas Instance.
In addition to showcasing our own tools, 2023 marked the launch of our very first Partnership Training Courses. Through our Edtech Collective initiative, we collaborate with numerous forward-thinking companies, aiming to enhance education through technology. This year, we're thrilled to have welcomed new Partners into the TSP family. These courses were created by our amazing Partners, under the guidance of our On Demand Team. Institutions with an Essentials, Standard, or Premium subscription to the Training Services Portal will have access to these courses. For information on accessing a partnership course in the portal, please see the Partnership Program Launch Blog post.

Updates & New Content
Here is a look at what we have on deck for Quarter 1, 2024.
- Canvas Credentials - We have combined the Credentials Onboarding and Mastery courses into a fresh new comprehensive course. The updates were released on February 12th. Note, this is a product course and not a part of the subscription packages. Institutions that have purchased the course with their Canvas Credentials subscriptions will have access to the updated course.
- Canvas for Elementary - This will be a brand new course for schools that have enabled the Canvas for Elementary settings. What is Canvas for Elementary?
TSP Surveys & Feedback
In addition to continually improving our current offerings, another goal for this year is to create opportunities for users to share insights on the types of courses you'd love to see featured and thoughts about our current offerings. Your feedback will help shape the future content and offerings within the portal. Stay tuned for further details on how you can participate and make your voice heard in shaping our training resources!
DID YOU KNOW? Every course in the Training Services Portal includes a feedback survey. The survey input is an invaluable part of our course update and roadmap process. We encourage you to complete a survey for each course!
