The Assessment score box is too far away from the next student arrow. On my screen, it is 5 inches, but moving a mouse to click a button that far away is the equivalent of a mile. I have tried the keyboard shortcuts to get to the next student, but this still needs a click of the mouse outside of the Assessment score box to make it work, or else the shortcut letter appears in the box, thus defeating the purpose of being a shortcut.
Also, the next student button should be more distinct than it is. Having it so small, at the top of the screen without a distinct border around it, is not user-friendly. This should be a larger, different-colored box with an arrow that stands apart from the rest of the screen.

Thanks so much for elaborating—understood. The current scope of improvements rolling out with the Modernized SpeedGrader focuses primarily on backend updates to enhance scalability and performance. That said, I can absolutely see how the UI change you mentioned could make a meaningful impact.
While it's not something we’re able to address just yet, I’ve passed this along to @ArohiDesai and her team, and they’ll definitely keep it in mind as we consider future UI enhancements. We really appreciate you taking the time to share this insight.
Hi @TroyLynch1 thank you for sharing this feedback. I am taking a look in my sandbox and do not see as noticeable of a difference in the placement between the default and modernized SpeedGrader view. Is this more of a general request, or, something you're noticing particularly with the Modernized SpeedGrader interface? Any additional context would be super helpful!
Hi @annalindsay ,
My comment was for a general comment for both the default and modernized SpeedGrader. When I was trying to quickly input scores from 1 to 3 for an easy assignment, the only reason I wasn't able to enter the scores quicker was because the next arrow was so far away from the score input box (again in both the default and modernized SpeedGrader).

Thanks for considering this and passing it along. Could you also pass along to @ArohiDesai and her team that the next student button should be more distinct than it is? Absolutely - we'll be sure to log both of these suggestions under UI improvements to the SpeedGrader.
