Our institution delivers courses accross a number of different teaching periods e.g. semesters, trimesters, and others. Some Impact messages are best delivered within the course site context and at certain times relative to these teaching periods. For example, welcome back messages at the start of the year or messaging around finalising grades at the end of the teaching period.
While we could specify the message context to be only on specific course pages, there are too many course sites (hundreds) to specify each one.
Similarly, we could define a custom user group and upload only staff/students enrolled in courses offered in a particular term, but these lists would need to be regularly updated and if a staff member was teaching into a Trimester 1 course at the same time as a Semester 1 course, they may receive the message in wrong contexts.
Ideally, it would be great to leverage Canvas terms data to allow display of a message to only users accessing a course associated with a particular term.
