I have been working with LMS systems since 2006 when SUU used WebCT. I have used WebCT, Angel, Blackboard and Brainhoney. Spring 2013 I started using Canvas and Fall 2015 I will be learning Brightspace by D2L.
I am an instructional designer at SUU, a PhD student at NCU, and an online adjunct teacher for BYU-Idaho.

Southern Utah University uses Canvas for many department and committee meetings to keep agendas and store minutes.Works great for a shared resource platform for specialized groups.
KenTHANK YOU for this explanation. Without this explanation it seems like Canvas is wasting precious time on icons. Understanding why decisions have to be made makes the decisions more palatable.Jen

Our institution wants the transcript grade kept separate from the outcome ranking based on their different uses and reporting mechanisms. The separate grade books work exactly as needed.
