Bio:
Hola! I am Cynthia Luce Miller and this is my 28th year of teaching (25 of them in Upper Arlington). I received my B.A. in Spanish from Mount Union College with minors in Business and Education. After teaching a few years out of state, I moved back to Ohio in 1995 and began my career here at Jones. I attended Ohio State to get my M.A. in Foreign Language Education and continue to develop my professional career in many ways. I'm also the very proud mother of 2 girls, one of whom graduated from UA in 2018 and one who is a senior at the high school.
I love getting students excited to learn another language and its culture. I particularly enjoy middle school because I get to support them as they "muddle through the middle" while developing both emotionally and academically!
It's been my privilege to have led numerous educational travel & service learning trips with middle school students. We've visited Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any concerns you may have. I look forward to a great year!
