[ARCHIVED] How to allow resubmission

I want to allow students to redo work on a previously submitted text entry assignment.  Where is the function to make this an option?   Much thanks! (Knowing me, I'll probably figure this out after hitting submit here!)

 @dking2 , good news: you don't have to do a thing. As long as the Available Until date hasn't passed, students can submit and resubmit as many times as they'd like—and that includes text entry assignments. Instructors can see all of their students' submissions in Speedgrader, but students can only view their most recent submission to an assignment.

How does one open up the assignment to resubmit for grading after the "available until" date has passed?

Hi @MPeffers,

You'd need to change the "available until" date in the assignment settings if that date has already passed and you want to allow students to continue to submit/resubmit.

The only way to really allow a resubmission is to change the Until date on an assignment.  The nice thing about Canvas is that every submission is retrievable from the submissions drop down menu.
