[API] Ability to find sent conversations via the API

Many times in K-12, students send inappropriate content in conversations to other students.  Once they delete the message, it is not retrievable even through the API unless the recipient(s) have not deleted their copy of the message.

It would be extremely helpful if sent messages could always be retrievable via the API even if the message has been deleted by the user.

Would your school be able to turn off the students' ability to send each other messages through the Canvas Inbox?  That might be the easiest way to prevent the inappropriate use of this tool.
