[Assignments] per-user-reattempts for assignments

Your new "Assignment Allowed Attempts" feature is useful and aligns the behavior of assignments and quizzes in Canvas. Please consider adding the option of per-user-reattempts for assignments. This can be done through moderation for quizzes and is very handy in our standards based assessment environment. Our students can request a reattempt on assignments and quizzes after demonstrating that they are better prepared.

Problem statement:

Sometimes I have a student who submits an assignment incorrectly and I would like to provide them another attempt to submit that specific assignment. However, Assignments only allows me to do that for the whole class, and that is something I don't like doing-some students who don't qualify for an additional attempt, try to take advantage of resubmitting. I would like the ability to assign an additional attempt to a single student in Assignments. Currently, this can only be done in Quizzes. Thanks.

Proposed solution:

Make Assignments so that a single student can be assigned an additional attempt. This gives flexibility for the instructor for individual students, not the whole class, which oftentimes isn't needed.
