[Gradebook] Option to Post Grades By Assignment Group

Problem statement:

It would be great if there was an option to post assessments at an Assignment Group level, rather than just at an individual level. Use case.

• We have a course revision assignment that is assessed with weekly quizzes.
• They are managed in Canvas with an Assessment Grouping.
• All quiz results are released once the final quiz has been completed.
• It is cumbersome and time consuming to post each individual quiz result at the end of the semester.
• It also spams students with emails notifying them of each individual assignment posting.
• It would be great if there was a way to post the results of all assessments in a single Assignment Group at once.

Proposed solution:

Update the gradebook to allow manual posting of all assessments in an Assignment Group that functions the same way grade posting does for individual assignments. This way:

1. Instructors will click on the three dots on an Assignment Group in the gradebook.
2. This will open a menu.
3. Instructors select 'post grades'
4. The grades for all assignments within this group are posted.
