Students have identified that the Notifications centre is currently quite complicated. There are 28 categories with different notification settings for each course, which, for most students, is too many to change individually. Some students are opting to group all notifications into one ‘weekly update’ within the settings, which has been unhelpful for notification management or for receiving urgent messages.
Suggestions include i) removing or combining many related types, such as ‘All submissions’, ‘Late grading’, ‘Submission by you’, or ‘Appointment signup’, ‘Appointment availability’, ‘Appointment cancellation’ and ii) remove or hide unsupported functionalities that cannot be used by students, such as ‘Announcement created by you’, ‘Blueprint sync’, etc.
