Restore image thumbnails in RCE

This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas

The new RCE images feature to upload images directly is terrific, however, the release seems to have disabled the ability to view image thumbnails. The thumbnails have been replaced by a generic icon. Teachers or designers who are not familiar with the image filenames are now forced to open the files area for a thumbnail.

I really appreciate the ability to see more than the first 10 images in a folder when adding to a quiz.  Restoring the image of the thumbnail would be really helpful.  Another feature that was lost with this update was the ability to remain in the folder where the image is located.  Currently every time you add an image to a quiz, you have to locate the image every time .  So when adding the next question you have to drill down to where the images are located.  In the past once you added one image, the system remembered where you found that image and adding the next took you to that location in canvas. As  @Renee_Carney ‌ indicated would happen, thumbnails of image files have been addressed.

Thanks for the update Ron. I'm only seeing them in Beta, but that's progress!
