Adding or Deleting Students from a Groups

It is stated that "once students submit to a group assignment, group settings cannot be changed."  Does this also affect adding or deleting students from the group?  What if a new student enrolls in the course, needs to be added to the group, and needs to be added to an assignment that someone else has already submitted?  Will a new student be added to that assignment? Thank you!

I don't have any experience with Group Assignments, but with Group Discussions, I've never had a problem adding a student to an already formed group. My guess is that you won't have an issue adding a student to a Group Assignment either.

I don't have much experience with Groups either, but I think that message means that once an assignment has been submitted, you can't change your mind and make it an individual assignment instead of a group assignment. Since Group Assignments accept only one submission for the whole group, changing the setting would create problems in the Gradebook.

I agree with @SusanNiemeyer that you should be able to change the composition of the groups, just not the "Group" setting of the Assignment itself.
